SEARCHING FOR HOTEL

I got a phone call from my husband last Monday morning when he was at work that his application for a week vacation had been approved. He would like me to go on the internet to check with the hotels in Cuba. It was thrilled to learn that I was able to make a trip to somewhere for a week soon.
When I clicked on the site with all inclusive and with direct flight from Windsor there were so many hotels popped out. They were in a very big range from couple hundreds to couple thousands. It was hard to make the decision which one to choose. I then went to read the review on each hotel on the site from trip advisor. It was very discouraging from the writing about the two to three star hotels. Though the price was very attractive there was lot of complaint about those hotels.
Therefore I skipped the hotels from 2 to 3 stars but focused on reading the review on the 4 to 5 stars. Even with the 4 or 5 stars some of the hotels were rated badly. I marked down the hotels with the less complaints and their pricing. When my husband came home that evening I pointed it out to him about my research and was mostly interested in the one with 4 stars for sale at 545 out of 1000 original price. He went through with the sum up of the hotels that I quoted and agreed with my pick. When he was about to book it the price went up to 585. There was still time left so he could wait until the price went down.
I checked with the price which went up to 605 instead of going down the next day. The price on other hotels went up as well. It looked like that the closer that we got to the departure day the price was higher. I told my husband to book for it instead of waiting for the price to come down.
To our surprise when he was about to book it the hotel was removed from the list. There was no choice but kept looking for other hotel then. My sister in law and my friend from Vancouver recommended two different 4 to 5 stars hotel to us. I checked with those two hotels. Though my sister in law’s recommendation was a 5 stars hotel most of the writing was bad from the review and its ranking was #18 out of 58 while my friend’s recommendation was only 4 and a half most of the writing was positives and its ranking was #10. Moreover he actually stayed there with his wife while my sister did not but heard about it when she visited Cuba last year.
We’d better go with the 4 and half star. Its on sale price was at 845 out of 1200 original price. It must be a good one. I checked with the price again on Friday morning to find out that the price dropped to 755. When my husband went home and did the booking the price dropped to 725. It should be a very good deal, so he booked it finally with the price 725 plus 310 tax. The total came up to 1035 per person. After he finished the booking he clicked in to check with the price again and found out the hotel that we first would like to book popped up with the price 535. He regretted for not checking it carefully before he did the final booking so he was able to save almost 400.
I tried to explain to him that the two hotels were on different ranking. One was #10 while the other was #39. Money was not that big issue but the quality was. I have learned a lot during the search for the information about the hotels. It was good learning process for me. I have to admit that I got benefit out of it which will have me prepared for the trip ahead of me and I also do hope that it will turn out to be better than I expect instead of disappointing me. 寻找合适的旅馆

上个星期一早上，突然，接到老公，从工作单位，打回来的电话。他告诉我，申请一个星期的休假，已经批下来，并叫我到网上去寻找有关去古巴旅行的旅馆资料。得知，快能够外游的之后，感到非常的兴奋和开心。
马上，到网上去查寻资料。在温沙，每个星期二，有一斑直航飞机，前往古巴。那家航空公司，包办一切，包括旅馆食宿、飞机票、专车接送等等。进入那个网站，看到无数的旅馆给挑选。价钱，从几百块到几千块。价格相距太大，难以作出决定。我进入另一个旅游须知的网站，把每一家旅馆的评语仔细地阅读，发现两到三星的旅馆评价好可怕。看了之后，有点畏惧，不想到古巴去。
后来，把两到三星旅馆的评语跳过，不去看它们，集中在看四到五星旅馆的评语。每家旅馆，多多少少都有好和坏的评语。甚至，五星的都有很多不好的留言。看了之后，把最少负面留言的旅馆写下来。然后，开始考虑到它们的价钱。看中了一家，虽然，属于四星，但是，价钱很合理，正面的留言比较多。原价要一千块，降价到五百四十五。那天晚上，老公回家之后，我向他汇报，把搜索到的资料告诉他，并把自己的看法告诉他。他上网，把我写给他的资料，再仔细地看一次。最后，他也同意我的看法。
既然，两人都看好哪家旅馆，那就把它订购。当他打算订购的时候，价格上涨了，要五百八十五块。认为，还有时间，不要急于订购，价格可能会下降的。第二天早上，我再度上网查看的时候，发现价格上涨到六百零五块。老公不肯订购，而等待。星期三，我告诉他，看来价格不会降下去，而不断地上涨。越靠近出发日期，价格越高，建议他最好把握机会订购。他同意，打算订购的时候，那家旅馆不存在了。
我又要再来去寻找合适的旅馆。大嫂，去年去过古巴，告诉我有一家五星的旅馆，听说不错。我上网，查看，发现对它的评语大部分都是负面的，而且，它的排名是五十八家旅馆之中的十八名。在温哥华的一位朋友，也去过古巴，曾经在一家四星半的旅馆居住过，把它介绍给我。我查看，发现对它的评语的确不错，排名也在第十。因此，决定挑选四星半的旅馆。原价，一千二百块，下降到八百四十五。
星期五早上，我再度上网查看，发现全部的价格都下降了。我所挑选的旅馆价格，下降到七百五十五块。老公回家后，我告诉他快把握机会去订购。当他开始订购的时候，价格又下降到七百二十五。结果，订购成功了。每人，要花一共一千三十五元加币，因为，税收要三百一十块。订购完毕之后，老公又上网查看价格，发现原先想订购的旅馆，又出现了。价格降了十块，只要五百三十五。他很后悔，没有查看清楚，才去订购，要多花了四百块钱。
我要给他解释和安慰。两家旅馆的质量完全不一样。我们订那家排名第十，错过了那家排名第三十九。金钱不是个主要因素，而品质、服务、环境条件等等，才是最重要。去旅行，是享受，而不是去受罪，花些钱是值得的。在寻找资料的时候，我也获益良多，学会很多东西，也给自己对旅程有所做好准备，希望，不会使我失望。等待吧，回来之后，会向大家汇报，分享。
